Stroker M3s aren't even making this kind of power to the wheels.

However, a full Bolt On System with a tune and light wheels will get you close to the 400whp mark. Freeing up the exhaust with a High Flow X-Pipe is a great way to get started. The E-Flash can be used to fine tune a bit for the new parts, as well as rid of the CEL.

Hi, I received the tuned files in VLC media files, is it correct?

is it a compressed file? and Now what should I unzipped it by? ZIP or RAR??

If you have VLC installed, it will recognize the .mod file as a video file. Simply open it with E-Flash and everything will run normally.

What's the process to flash back to stock? And then go through the same original process for flashing again as was directed for first time flashing?

I keep learning new things about this tune. Did I read that this tune is not suitable for the track without race gas?

Simply load the file you backed up and you're back to stock programming.

The tunes can be custom-tailored to your specific needs, and can definitely be used with race fuel.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had an issue. My computer kept telling me that my cable was "locked", which in turn meant I needed an update on it (I had no clue). As soon as I called and spoke to Shelby, she was amazing, she literally logged onto my computer and did it for me as I watched. She was great.. She then loaded the update to my tune and now my car has no CEL, runs better and I can hear it and feel it... I left her a message thanking her. Great job

I have two files I believe are my original backup. They both say siemensDMEMSS60..... but are ORG files. Ah, one is a text file.

Do I use "recovery" to choose the ORG file to flash to stock?

Thanks, Tom for helping. I am running WIN 10. I uninstalled it and ran through the instructions for rebooting while disabling the drivers and got it connected. Now, when I try to read the ECU I get an error that says there is a Device Error: No Error ECU Communication Error, Error During Read Memory Data Transfer. I attached a picture of the error.

Something's going on here, I'll need to try WIN10 to see if I can replicate what you're seeing.

In the meantime, do you have another WIN7 machine to load E-Flash onto?

Unfortunately, I don't have a WIN7 machine. I think I figured out the problem though. The DME was tuned before, so I think it is encrypted and won't allow me to read it. I had the stock tune on my WIN7 machine before it crashed, so I can't reload the stock file. I may have to take it to a shop, get a stock file loaded, and then read it to send it to ESS. I got a VT1-550 kit and wanted to get the ECU file issues sorted before installing it.

I appreciate you looking into it - I think it's an issue on the ECU end and not the WIN10.

Where was your ESS tune/cable purchased from? If from us, we can get you a base file to load. Otherwise, you will need to contact your reseller or ESS directly to obtain a base file to flash over your existing tune.

As an alternative, any independent shop with autologic can revert the DME to stock form.
