Well....

All I can say is, what is the internet coming to when the opening poster doesn't even come back to continue THEIR own thread???

Apart from telling everyone what they just bought...

Like what is the F'N point......? and as if we we all care without even any nice pictures to look at!!!

try to not ever expose.... if you wanted bokeh I understand why you used a low F stop causing the pic to be overexposed. but bump up the shutter speed next time...... Or maybe use A mode.....

Your depth of field is crap!. Try to retake the photo and give us the front of you shot in focus as well the background, then that is a good shot. Anyone can take a closeup but the trick is show us an overall photo.

Then you will have my tick of approval, but that really does not matter but your the one that put the photo up and you need to do that lens justice.

your getting better. but they are right if you want better dof and bokeh use the aperture mode....it will adjust the shutter speed so you dont have over or under exposed images.

this was in lower light and a large area behind my focus point.

and this was at the beach.

both were shot at f/2.8, but you can see how its not all just about the f/.

yeah - it's also about not centering your subject all the time and keeping your verticals intentionally vertical.

use the selective focus feature... and use something like f/4 you DOF is too narrow in some pics... good try!
