spacers for staggered xdrive?

Im currently running 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear. I've done a lot of searching around and have accumulated some questions. As a staggered set up I am not sure what size spacers to be running in the front or rear. I was thinking 10mm all around, but I'm not sure whether that will hurt the awd system. Also at what point will extended bolts be necessary?
Any suggestions and set ups will greatly appreciated!

wont hurt the AWD, just running spacers, its the overall tire height that affects it.
so if the tires are the same the wheeks are all turning the same, you'll need longer bolts for 10mm, although I heard 10mm dont fit standard E90s as the the hub is too long, better with 12mm

keep the rolling circumference within 1% and you should be fine. same goes for diameter. im running a square setup with 10mm and 15mm spacers
