Just take the door panel off (many DIY's) then unscrew the speaker to pop out the old/new. If you don't you will break the tabs like I did.

Upgrades look great.
Pre-Lci E90's did not have the chrome knobs and these speaker grills are only on M3's or individual audio cars.

Ordered the vinyl from Auto Vinyl Solutions, $32 correct, no fitment issues as they fit the M3 which is the same door panel as our cars.

how much material did you use for the trim? do you think 2ft x 5ft would be enough? The pattern goes the long way on the sheet correct? I think the brushed steel looks great! I like it much better than the brushed aluminum

On my 5x4, the width is 5 feet. Definitely don't skimp on the width, i'd say 5x3?

Here is something that might help you guys.

So getting the power bolsters required some additional wiring? Care to expound on that? I'm looking to do the same thing (if I can ever find some grey sport seats).

Yes, if your car doesn't have lumbar already there is no power going to the seats from the car for the bolsters or lumbar.

What I did was figure out which wires pushed power and which ground went from the car to the seats.

Then I looked at which pins needed power on the seats. Once i found the location of the power and ground yhe new seats needed I went back to the power coming from the car to see how I could wire them together. I used a T Tap to break off a power 12v and a ground off the car and then pulled the power and ground wires for the bolsters out of the pin connector on the seat harness.

I then basically plugged the seats in and then outside of the harness (yellow connector) wired the piggyback power and ground off the car and attached them to the power and ground pins off the seat that went to the bolsters.

It's really easier to talk about it lol.

Hopefully this helped

It helps a bit... my car does already have power lumbar, so hopefully it's a bit easier.

You might be fine then, because the bolsters use the power from the lumber. So you might be plug and play!

Looks DAMN good! Gotta admit, I kinda like the interior better without the Nav bump. It's really a clean look. Great job!
