Their flight is delayed!!! Best Christmas present half an hour I've ever gotten!

Tree will be I tomorrow, if the guy has found anything remotely natural (ugly) for me.

No, Christians forgot that Christmas is actually coming from a pagan holiday called Saturnalia. Christmas got hijacked by the religious nutheads.

Jesus was not born on November 25 and there's no way to prove it.

I'm an Atheist and celebrate Christmas. Nowadays Christmas has nothing to do with religion.

Or is Christmas now just any old holiday that people of no faith can still celebrate? If so, they're missing the point of what Christmas means, and the history behind it.
Agreed on the points about political correctness and the reaction grab however I don't think that only Christians are entitled to Christmas. Speaking as an atheist who celebrates Christmas part of the reason is that everybody else does and it's a lonely time of the year if you refuse to partake. The biggest reason though is the proverbial "spirit of the season." Taking the time to think of people and visit with family, take a break from the drudgery of the every day and have something special to share with others. Sure we each have different faiths and their corresponding rites but the spirit of them is fairly universal in my estimation, even for those who have no faith to celebrate. I just leave the Jesus part out of mine and celebrate togetherness instead.

Just as it's your choice to celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, it's a Christian's choice to celebrate Christmas for the purpose of commemorating the birth of Jesus.

But any way you slice it, and no matter how or when it was "hijacked", Christmas nowadays, is celebrated as a religious holiday by billions of people around the world.

Lets get back to this in January when we are celebrating Christmas. The kids are ready to kill me but they love the idea of postponing it so they can have all their aunts and uncles (our friends) with us.

It means more gifts for them... Come on, their mama didn't raise no fools...

But I do wish you both and everyone else a happy Chrismahannukwanza... I think that safely covers all demographics...

Both excellent choices... Pros and cons even out...

ESS out longer more product support from shops...

Harrop sounds better - might be stupid but dat whine...

ESS more horses for your dollar - but some configuration needs to be done to fit the bloody thing

Harrop more expensive but more power

I've heard the fit and finish on the Harrop is gorgeous and practically OEM look and install a breeze, but especially around your neck of the woods, is there anybody who is a certified to work on the Harrop or even install it? That would be the issue for me to contemplate...

Can't go wrong with either IMO... And sounds like a fantastic gift... to oneself, lol...

Bimmer Performance Center has done several of ESS installs.

I do love that Harrop design and fit....using the OEM air box and NO fitment issues....

$ for $ - hard to beat the ESS though.

I meant with the Harrop - might be more difficult to find product support as opposed to ESS...

But again, end of the day, can't go wrong with either... Not a day goes by I do not miss my e92 M, and that was three cars and 2 motorcycles ago so it's saying a lot... And mine wasn't even SC'ed...

I absolutely dig the whine in the Harrop though - same style as Z06...

I meant that BPC is fully involved with ESS install, and about an hour from the house.

Not sure about Harrop installers (and that is a great concern) - not just install, but ongoing support.

The little I know about you is that you are wise and sensible... Pretty sure with the limited support or rather ease of support for ESS plus the added value dollar wise - that will most likely be the decision you will go and it makes sense...

There, Christmas crisis diverted !!! Now please post pics and vids after install...

Thank you for the kind words, but Is it really sensible to SC a S65?!?!

Is it sensible to jump out of a perfectly sound airplane??

Is it sensible to eat hotdogs at a baseball game?

Is it sensible to have questionable sex with the passionate girl you just met??

No wait, I think it's passionate sex with the questionable girl maybe? That doesn't look right either... But you get the idea !!!

Life is short... You have the means... Enjoy it to the fullest... But my all means, do it now before the 3rd surgery you have looming down the road...

See?? Sensible... Pics + vids please...
