1) Yes.
2) Two inches. In all seriousness, they'll fit just fine on a stock height car and you can even spare a mild drop before any cambering/tucking/pulling. In general, going with a larger diameter wheel means a heavier wheel and harsher ride (due to a thinner tire). I went from 19s to 20s myself due to the 20s filling out the F32 wheel well a bit better.

I'm not sure. Super Sports are supposed to have a 1.2" drop on them. Rubbing is a possibility depending on the offset and tire size.

Thanks. Vossen CV3's Not sure about the Supersports, I am running coils. Unfortunately I was so happy to get them put on, I forgot to take the beginning measurements to see how far I lowered it over stock. |

Just keep in mind that:
a. 20" wheels with very low-profile tires will be more likely to get damaged by potholes and other road hazards b. They increase ride harshness because there's less sidewall to absorb bumps c. The tires cost more to replace than 18" versions d. They're heavier than 18" wheels (unless you buy super-expensive lightweight versions), which can have a negative effect on handling Be really careful with wheel offsets, or the tires will rub the fenders/suspension.

20s will definitely fit on the car, as long as you get the right width and offset for the wheels, and the right width and profile for the tires. You'll notice more feedback from the road with a set of 20s compared to 18s though.

Roundel you can have the same problems with 18s or 19s too with the wrong offsets. That will depend on the height. When you buy wheels you have to consider a lot of factors. Width, diameter, offset, and car's height. If you do not plan on lowering the car, chances of rubbing are zilt with 20s. Its when you start to lower the car is when you start to have issues and you will have them regardless of wheel size if you buy the wrong wheel.
For ride, that is personal opinion. I believe my 20s ride smoother and better than my 17 runflats. So again it will all depend on what you buy. There are some 20" tires that are softer than what I have and they ride very smooth and absorb bumps. For price, yah of course the tires apples for apples will be more. But someone buying a BMW, especially a later model to new should not be too concerned about an extra $150-$200 per set. Hankook is one tire brand that is a great all around performance budget tire for around 220 each for a 275/30. I paid that for my Michellins for my Acura that were 17s. Agree, they are heavier to some degree and like you pointed out depends on your price range. For having a negative effect on handling/performance, I would put money down that 99% of the public would not be able to tell the difference between an 18/19 or a 20 if they were blindfolded. Only experienced people that know cars, and there are a lot fewer than people think will be able to tell and even then if you shop for a good quality wheel, the effects will be minimal. Everyone claims they know, but in reality they have no clue. They just repeat the crap they read or hear from their friends without any real experience. Or perhaps they tried and did not do it right so they have a neg opinion. I was so terrified to get 20s at first because when I had my 18s with a 50 series tire, I was going through 3-4 wheels a year literally. Been over a year now with my 20s and not one bend and have not had to replace one tire. Just like anything in life, you go the cheap route or the inexperienced route, you will get neg result.
