Previous cars

Mine were:

-VW Golf MkI GTI - purchased used in 1988, lots of fun even though the car had lived and almost died when I bought it (clutch weak, gasket leaks), but hey, it was a GTI - had to sell after summer was over because could not afford insurance;

- 1980 Dodge Omni 1.6l 4sp manual-purchased used in 1988, the one they brought over here with the Peugeot engine; car handled like crap and had 160,000 kms when I got it, but the engine never failed me - got this after the Golf, I was a student on a shoe string budget;

-1985 Toyota Tercel-also purchased used in 1990dont ask....car very reliable mechanically, had enough rust to qualify as free A/C and was purchased to replace said Dodge Omni (it constituted trading-up at the time);

-1994 Integra 5sp-first new car, car handled very well (reminded me of VW MkI without the leaks), but engine to crazy split persona (above 4500 rpm a racer, below that no better than a civic) also very light car and slid around a lot in winter;

Got married and had kids=

-2002 Audi A4 1.8T 5sp - bought new; did not get sport package because of kids (mistake). Car is solid, was lucky and did not have any problems (not even the spark plug recall replacement) except for speakers on front driver's side with a mind of their own (on-off at their pleasure), but handling dynamics are not that good, car floats after 140 km/H (or so I am told), steering gets too light at speed, car tanks in turns (but to its credit hangs on). However, had a blast every snow storm;

-waiting for e90 325i ZSP Terra manual; wife has own car which is the main kids transporter (X3) so I can go back and have some fun again (even though I imagine I will enjoy winter a little less-but no matter I will enjoy the other 9 months of the year more)

Japan-spec DC2 Honda Integra Type R - totaled just before moving to the US
Honda Civic HX Coupe - fuel-sipping college runaround
Acura RSX Type S - LSD-less, unworthy successor to the DC2
Subaru Impreza WRX - a mere 250 WHP Class Winner and I-95 Express
Japan-spec Mitsubishi Evo 8 - weekend car which I chose to drive all this week
E90 325i - 2.5 liters of low-end torque, 6 cylinders of smooth pulling power and an automatic tranny which I never saw myself getting

On my first, 01' S60 2.4T, could be a lot better, but of course I say that w/ the E90 3 in mind, that'll have to wait a few years, but surely it will happen, I know it will.

03 Mitsu EVO 8......Love the performance. Outstanding steering, quick acceleration and "in your face styling". The thing handled like a go-kart. Unfortunately I was plagued with an ecu glitch that triggered the "check engine light". The darn light flicked on about every 500-1000 miles requiring me to make a trip to mitsu to have the "code" cleared. Since i exceeded the warranty (3yr or 36000miles) I wasn't covered under the "lemon law". therefore I decided to trade performance over luxury and purchased a E90......so glad that I did!

1971 Toyota Corona station wagon-- First car.... Sucked, but was durable and RWD with almost no weight over the rear wheels, and a pretty long wheelbase. It was a lot of fun!

1983 Mk I GTI. -- What a great car. I loved every minute of that car. To have this car at 17 years old was really a treat. I put a lot of work into that car and it would outhandle most cars of the day. I used to embarrass people in 911s in that car (downhill) on the twisties. Car did not have a sunroof or AC so it was VERY light. About 1 ton. Recently Automobile magazine named it one of the top 10 sports cars for under 5k. It got totalled and I got:

1984 Mk I GTI. -- Not as good as the first but I had it close before I sold it. Had sunroof and AC so not as light as the first one. Had Tokico shocks on it which allowed you to dial in the suspension very nicely, but never did like it as much as GTI #1.

1995 Audi A4. -- Only had this car for a short time but I liked it pretty well.

1973 Ford Bronco -- This was my Mammoth Mountain beast. I needed something tough for when I lived in the mountains so I picked this up. It was the only car I ever sold for the same amount of money that I bought it for. I converted it to disc brakes and did a lot of engine work on it. It had a 351 Windsor motor with an RV cam, so it was all about torque. I used to pull Jeeps out of snowbanks with it sometimes! You could really only go about 65 on the highway in the car, and effective redline was about 4,500 RPM. I never had the engine RPM any higher than that. Was a 3 speed manual, too. Got about 8 mpg in that one. It was funny because it would only go 65, but it would go 65 up ANY HILL IN THE COUNTRY. I used to get passed on the flats on the way up to Mammoth by 4Runners and stuff, and then pass them as soon as the highway started going up the mountain.

1997 Jetta GLX -- This was a great car for me, and aside from being FWD, a great performer. 0-60 in 7.1 seconds made it nearly as quick as the E46 BMW. Kind of fell apart in the corners though. I got a shine racing suspension kit on it and it really helped a lot, but there was no denying it was FWD.

2006 BMW 330i -- What can I say. This car rules. I sometimes just go out and stare at it in the garage....

honestly, i didnt use the kit that much at all. it was MOSTLY for show. i went through one whole bottle at the track one night, and MAYBE a whole nother bottle the whole rest of the time i had it on my car. that was including purging. it definitely helped at the track a little. other then that. nooooo problem. i had upgraded injectors and spark plugs, so i think that helped. and it was a 75 shot.. fun times

-94 BMW 525i 5-spd (Light blue/black. The humble E34 that I bought used in the late 90's. E34 is still my fav today)
-01 Volvo S40 SE Auto (Dark Gray/beige. Bought new in 01, it was the BTCC-winning car and looked cool back then. Modded a bit, got bored and traded it in for a Bimmer. Strangely, I miss it)
-01 BMW 328i Steptronic (White/beige. Bought used in 02. Made me realize I gotta have a Bimmer)
-01 Audi TT 225 quattro coupe 6-spd (Silver/gray. From a pure design point of view, this is one of the coolest cars of all time. Too bad it wasn't a good drive)
-02 Lexus IS300 5-spd (Black/black. It had LSD and the black taillights, not the super ricey ones. Worst clutch ever, otherwise a good car overall)
-03 BMW 330i ZHP 6-spd (Imola/black. Knew I'd order one the moment I saw it at LA autoshow. Great great car, sold it due to financial problems.)
-98 BMW M3/4 5-spd (Cosmos/black. Current and only car. Fits me like a glove, my fav on the list.)

For the future, I plan on getting either a Cayman S or MZ4 Coupe as a second car next year, then E90 M3 sedan when it comes out to replace the E36.

EDIT: Details added
