Limp Mode, possible solenoid or turbo failure?

so today as I was driving on the highway, the engine reduced mode came on, and i used jb4 on dash diagnostic and received code 2A82 (intake VANOS jammed mechanically) and 3100 (over boost), now I have jb4 with intake and dps, at the time of the limp mode, the tune was off. According to the forum, I might need to change or clea my intake solenoids valve, so my question is, did this caused my car to go into limp mode? Wastegate rattles btw.

thanks in advance

Your vanos has failed. Common in higher mileage cars.

Replace with this part number 11367585425 x2

I had the same codes and I tried cleaning both solenoids before I spend
money buying new parts. After I cleaned them, I pushed the car hard to
test and I went on a long distance trip.

The car runs smoother than before and the codes are not coming back so far.
Definitely try cleaning them! Here's DIY link.

FYI, I used maf sensor cleaner to clean them.

I agree. Since its a cleanable part you can first try to clean it first cause the part isn't exactly cheap. Then try to replace it if it still fails.
