E90 prelci halogen to LCI Bi-zenon
Hey there ladies and gents, hope you're having a swell day.
I'm sorry that I only have questions, and nothing to contribute as of yet. Ive done some searching on the interwebs, and have come up empty handed, well, slightly. I have a 2008 e90 328i Sedan, with halogen headlights (pre-lci, non projector) I have someone who is selling bi-xenon LCI headlights for a decent price. I was wondering if: A) will they fit directly in my 2008 prelci 328 halogen non projector headlights. B) What is involved in getting the car ready for the xenon? Ive read about ballasts etc etc, and auto leveling. What do i need to do to get these working correctly? C) Thanks, you're awesome. Best, Bobby |

Dude the money you save from the head lights you will need it and more to get the auto leveling working the right way (very expensive), and some tears too. Good luck!!! If you do it, let us know how much you spend total.

So I can understand a little better. Are you saying I have to use the adaptive feature? They cant be set at a level and left that way? Would I be better off buying halogen projectors and fitting a HID conversion kit?
Or is it just the fact that they are LCI that will make it a pain? Oh and thanks for your input thus far! Last edited by Bobby Pynes; 08-03-2011 at 11:58 AM.. Reason: spelling |

Yeah, i suppose aftermarket is a good option. However, I am still under factory warranty for another 10,000 miles, and want to stick with OEM parts that wont void any portion of my warranty, including the headlights. So im thinking factory projector halogens. Then when my bumper to bumper expires, adding an HID kit.

you dont need to enable the auto leveling feature, it will just stay stationary. I converted from halogen to pre-lci xenons. I didnt do the wiring though, so cant help you with that, but it is possible.
