Is it "Transformation Tuesday" yet?

In July of 2013, I purchased a 2010 335i (my second e90) with 15,000 miles on the odometer.. clean car, saddle interior and all options with the exception of navigation. I have always been a "black on black" kinda guy when it comes to cars, but Im also an impulse buyer, and that day I convinced myself that I could live with saddle as the interior color. In reality, It totally grew on me, and flowed very well. However, while I was deployed for the past 9 months, I took a chance and posted a thread seeking a trade for saddle against black, and wouldn't ya know it, a local guy had a Dakota black interior in almost mint condition (same as mine) that was as eager to have a saddle interior as I was to have a black one.. and thus, this transformation was born

This was the vehicle back in 2013 when I first purchased, I had replaced the 287 wheels with style 162's that I had on my last e90
(The 287s are in great condition and will be up for sale as soon as I can get pics and post the thread, btw)

Getting a little vacuuming done in what anyone whose taken their interior's out knows as a "once in a lifetime" chance to get all the nooks and crannies

I also took about 30 minutes to install a Dual-Cone Intake from BMS, extremely easy instructions and certainly adds a very distinct "hissing" sound when you accelerate, I cant really tell how much was gained in terms of HP; however, my expectations were low given the advertised gains were only around 20HP.

This was the result of around 2 hours spent carefully wrapping my wood interior with DiNoc 3M Matte Black Carbon Fiber wrapping material, for my first time doing this, I was highly pleased with the results; stellar change to the aesthetic of the interior

The results of a Saturday extremely well spent

The wheels are style 231, originally off of the 750i (I wanted style 95's originally, but during my search I came across these and really like the look that they have on the 3 series)

I swapped out the OEM sport wheel for the one that comes in the 335i with the M Sport Package.. totally worth the money as it not only looks great but feels amazing in comparison.

All in all, I am extremely happy with the results of my planning and really fell in love with this car all over again. I am having some minor rubbing issues on the rear wheels and so I am set to have the fenders rolled this weekend, after which I will install H&R sport springs (my original plan before I encountered the rubbing) which I feel will complete this package. My goal was tasteful, "OEM" oriented modifications and I feel that it was a great success. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread gents!

lol, no way man, but I suppose its just a preference thing. I will always be a black on black fan, especially with the DiNOC wrap, but thanks for the compliment in any event

I love your wheels man...I also like the style 95 but that 231 is also sick. Are those square setup or staggered? What are your tire sizes? Any rubbing or rolled fenders?

Thanks man! The offset is 24mm all the way around but the setup is staggered, Im running 235/35s up front and 265/30s in the rear; fronts are fine but the rear does rub on bumps.. Im set to have the fenders altered this coming sunday after which I hope to lower it on a small drop (H&R Sport Springs). If you are thinking about doing this setup I would highly recommend going no larger than a 255/30 in the rear and even then it might be a close call without fender work.

Welcome back man. Feels good to drive the cars doesn't it. Love the Carbon Fiber, looks clean, excellent job wrapping. Wheels turned out right too. sporty but clean style. The offset looks great, perfectly flush. Cars looking good. Today was my second day back to work, got pulled over for no front license plate First time in the five years i've had the car. No ticket, officer was military friendly for once.

I may hit you up for some pointers on doing the wrap. This months car payment was my last one. Decided to keep it for another year, I liked the wood trim five years ago, but i'm tired of it now. Drove the M235, good but not good enough to want to get into it. I'm pretty certain i'm going to wait for next year and do an M3 Eurodelivery during Octoberfest. My SA assured me that by then i'll be able to get invoice Eurodelivery pricing. Lease not own, BMWs depreciate too much for me to ever buy one new again.
