Replacing 328i headlights (lowbeam)

I'm new to the bmw world and wanted to replace my stock headlight to an HID xenon (white). I was wondering if someone can point me on some instructions on how to do so? Also what type of HID bulbs do I need to buy?
Cheers,
DB

Sedan or coupe? If sedan, do you have factory xenons?

you need a kit, something from like mtec; they work pretty well... i didnt like them when I had them on my other car, it overheats from time to time (the ballast) and sometimes the light flickers...

overall I hate hid kits -hence all my cars now have stock hids

Does the light housing work well with an HID bulb? A non-HID setup running HID bulbs may cause some nasty glare/dazzling to oncoming drivers.

You need housings made for HIDs or you will get glare. There are no legal conversion kits because all cause unacceptable glare.

That was my thought as well, thanks for the links. Aftermarket HIDs are a bad idea...sadly too many ricers think they are needed.
