Denn-Ice uses that 5D MkIII/70-200 f2.8L II combo as well. He's nailed some amazing shots with it.

Coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Nearly 50,000 stitched images showing a very hi-res 360 shot of London. Pan to the right of the Eye and see how far you can zoom in on Big Ben. Unreal.

Here's a person who got caught between images. Note the missing part of her foot. Absolutely incredible resolution, though.

And I know cars are small in London, but this is going a bit too far.

Just set up my new 27" Thunderbolt display at work. Pixel peeping just took on a whole new meaning.

Also, how is the new office?

I know it would have been cliche, but they should have done Paris, NY or DC -- more recognizable landmarks. Still awesome, nonetheless.

My new office is still waiting. Right now I have an old desk and there are a bunch of old desks waiting to be moved out. I saw the drawings for my new "office system" that will be going in. It's about 9ft of wrap around desk with overhead storage and so on. Once that's in and my rig is set up in that, I'll grab some pics. I did get one with my crappy cell phone today. Once I get that off the phone I may post it if it's at all usable.

Paris would have been cool. Or Boston. Or even a better location in London.

I've seen that look at London before. Fantastic!

Agreed, a shot of NYC or Paris would also be of great interest! Hell even San Fran or here in Vancouver would provide some fantastic sightseeing for all the pixel peepers.

Not too shabby a pic after all. For a Droid.

Lets admit it; you just wanted to draw attention on your new work computer and not the picture quality of the droid isnt it? ;p

The Droid isn't bad in a pinch, but it's no iPhone. The Thunderbolt is pretty amazing, although for about the same cost I should have considered a Dell 30".

Dell over the retina display? Really?

Never compared them too much tho; since the Apple display was out of my budget. Freaking nice; but too much money for a screen. Really happy with my Dell's tho; but still feel that Apple's a grade over the Dell's ultrasharp serie.

Not Retina, just Thunderbolt. Res = 2560x1440. The Thunderbolt display only works with a Thunderbolt capable machine hooked to it. No sharing it with a Dell workstation. A Dell screen would have worked with either type of machine attached and I could switch back and forth. And I've set up the 30" Dells before. For what I do 99.99% of the time, they're just as good as the T-Bolt.

Got my 400mm f5.6 today. Won't be no hand-held, low-light shots with this puppy, I can tell you that.

Now I need to wait for a clear night or some serious sunshine so I can go have fun with it.

Yeah, too bad that they don't make an IS version. You could hand hold the 500mm with a 1.4X TC down below 1/100-sec., but you need a tripod to do it with the 400mm. For shooting most birds in flight you need a high SS anyway, so the 400mm excells at that. Use ISO 800 as your default for BIF.

Pulled the trigger on a Lensbaby Composer Pro Double glass @ $237 shipped; sick deal. Cant wait to try it on macro shots.

Getting anxious to see huge pile of snow melt and looking forward to that summer season filled with Shutterclicks.

Just got my media pass for the Canadian Xtreme paintball league and was hired by a team to cover their whole season! I'm waiting for two other teams to sign as well.

Just dont know how the new family-to-be will react to that every second weekend trip :S

I'll be curious to see what you can do with that lens.

I'll admit that I don't "get it", so maybe some competent shots from a good photog like you will help me understand.

A lot of people dont believe in it; since they say its a toy. But I dont expect anything else from this lens then what it can actually deliver.

Pretty much like a TS-E lens from what I understand; it uses a ball swivel to concentrate the sharp portion of the image in the frame and the double glass optics seems razor sharp as per the reviews and sample images. But lets not forget that 80% of the image will be intentionnaly blurred.

I want to develop my macro shots into a more creative fashion and use it for my newborn's baby book as well. So I know this wont be an everyday-use lens.

So for the expectations I have vs. the price paid; pretty sure this lens will nail it.
