BMW headlight replacement coding?
Hi everybody
This is my first post so I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong section. I just got a single replacement headlight for my 135i (the old one had cracked and was no longer working) and installed it. I am getting an error message on the dash, and it isn't getting full power. I've heard that new adaptive headlights need to be coded to the car's VIN. Can anyone help with this? |

I am no expert but what I read says that replacing a bulb does not require coding. Changing from Halogen to xenon requires coding and replacing the adaptive headlight control module may require coding but not a simple bulb replacement. I would double check the wiring - make sure the contacts are clean and fully plugged in.
