That's a good idea!

Fortunately I have nothing but props for my dealer, they have always been first rate in all aspects of service.

When I read some of the horror stories about dealers on here it makes me shake my head. You would think BMW corporate would have some enforceable standards......

That's good. Stick to this one.
After seeing what happened with a customer's 1M a few months back, BMW corporate should stand behind the service levels for each and every servicing department.

I could absolutely see a dealer taking the car for a test drive after installing new roof seals on the car. After all, if you got the car back and there was now horrible wind noise after they replaced the roof seals, would you then be posting about what a crappy job the dealer did installing the new part?

Yes there are techs/employees that abuse customer's cars, but there are also those that respect customer's property when they test drive the car after a repair. I wouldn't be worried about them adding a few miles to the odometer after such a repair. A few hundred on the other hand I would question.
