Not a terrible price increase. Better than prices down under!

This is nothing. If anyone complains about this price increase they shouldn't be looking at BMW, rather Hyundai. I wonder what drives these increases since they're so small.

Any thoughts?

Oops, I didn't read this first and thus, became redundant.

And it's "hear, hear!" (In reply to someone who put "Here, Here!"

Last year, roughly same time.

And to those who say it's not enough money to get upset, people aren't perturbed over the dollar amount but the principle. Bump the price 200 a year and provide a car with less and less. Eventually it adds up and more quickly than inflation/production takes it back out of BMWs pocket.

Wait a minute! where did those last two comments go...? That was comedy!
Hahahaha "cargo hooks..."
Who's worried about rear seat nets (magazine pouches) and cargo hooks on a performance car! Hahahaha

Hey guess what?! Porsche got rid of the back seats on the GT3... Oh no, what are we gonna do now... car still m*rders on the track.
why would you buy a car of these calibers if your worried about stuff like that, unless your just buying it for STATUS.

Precisely, the hooks and nets are pretty insignificant and cheap. It cant cost BMW full dollars to put them in. I don't care that much about them as I bought this car for driving pleasure. I am simply illustrating a point that BMW will remove things and still charge more for it. The semantics of what is removed is largely unimportant here, even though the removal of the cargo hooks is more frustrating than you might think; I haul things sometimes in my car too and with only two hooks a cargo net cannot be used.

I gotcha, i understand what your trying to say. Guess it goes the same for the interior trunk light, but i could careless about that. My point being is ppl that understand BMW buy it for the driving experience and engineering precision. A lot of "insignificant" features have been removed from the car throughout the years, however with the BMW "ultimate driving machine" vision, they have added features that far surpass the competition.... for just a fraction of the price.

imho, regardless of whether you can afford a rolls royce phantom or not, the price increase is pretty bad... i mean, i can remember when the E90 came out, paying $43k for a fully loaded 330i, but now it's touching $60k, that's $17k in 7 years

Don't forget what has happened globally during the time the e90 was first introduced to recent history. I think this increase you are referring to is more to do with the USD being way weaker compared to the euro than when the e90 was first introduced.

it's .08 cent's difference... that' doesn't account for 17k USD

on 7/1/2005 the 43k was 35,525 EURs today you'd need 47k USD.

it makes sense when your buying a $50k car that doesnt come with floor mats to be upset. BMW just started putting floor mats back in e90s in October. or the fact that you could get a Shelby GT500 for the price of a moderately equipped 335i. even Mercedes are way cheaper for the same car.

Small price increases every year is better than holding the price (nobody will thank you, they will just take it for granted)....... and then suddenly raising it significantly after a few years (people will be outraged).

this is not about +$3/month payment, military discounts, or the fact that some pple dont pay msrp.... i think that with new manufacturing technology things get cheaper and it would be nice for manufacturers to lower prices at least once. I agree $220/car increase is not crazy much but in the long run with these hikes the car gets more and more expensive while avrg pple income does not go up as much. this makes the car less affordable over time...

I fully realize that but at the same time I'm certain that BMW prices their products for all markets based on some form of complex forecasted exchange rate to protect their profit margin against currecy fluctuations. Us Canadians have heard this excuse for many, many years.
