If I do European delivery F30, can I pick up the M sport sooner than Q3 2012??
Was wondering if the release date of the new f30 with M package is Q3 in US, can I order and pick up sooner if I do the European delivery program?

I read an article stating the M-sport pkg will be available day 1 - Feb 11, 2012? Hence why it was premiered in Munich last Friday with the 3 other design models.

Those looking for even greater dynamic character will find just what they require in the M Sport package, including many extra equipment items. Discover its benefits – from the third quarter of 2012 at your BMW Dealer’s.
It is interesting to note that the M Sport was basically rolled out at the same time as the standard sedan, however this is a Euro press release, and I'm not sure if this has always been the case for the European market. I'm not 100% certain that this would directly translate into the pkg. being available for the US market in Q3 either. Just something to think about based on recent history. For the e90, the US had to wait until the LCI, whereas in the rest of the world, the M Sport had been available for some time. That may be the case here as well. Looks like we'll just have to stay tuned for info on US market cars to roll out. |

I think the M-Sport will be available sooner for europeans than for the US-customers, because it needs additional time for homologation in the US. It has different suspension, different brakes, etc.

M-Sport Packet will not be available from February launch but nearer 3rd quarter of 2012. Look at the 1er for example, M-Sport was shown at launch but will not be available until March 2012.
M-Sport Packets are shown early to showcase the range of personalisation to the latest models. But they will not launch at market introduction as BMW favour spreading out additional adjustments to allow standard designs to mature and establish themselves.

We recieve the cars directly form Germany and I see that we always get the cars a few months sooner than the US. Dunno if the M-Sport is already available but the first units of F30 arrived like 2 or 3 weeks ago...
