[QUOTE=Braumin;13821064]First of all - congratulations!

Two rear facing seats is going to be a B***h in the back of a 3 series. You can ignore the previous picture since it was one front and one rear - totally different ball game there.

Well, that may be true...but I had TWO rear facing seats in my Mazda Speed3. Yes, it was tight, but doable. My E90 has much more room.

I agree, the best solution is an SUV (unfortunately).

Good luck and congratulations!

Selling our 335d for something bigger. Simply not enough room in the E90 for our 6mo twins and all the gear required to get them around.

The most difficult part is that I cannot drive comfortably in the E90 with the rear facing seat behind me (I'm 6'1"). My wife, who is around 5'3" doesn't have an issue with it so that may play in to your decision.

Now the little cheap ass single ones maybe but I promise you decent double no way. I dont have kids yet im gona give my wife dog and let her sit on that for while lol.... (I love marley....lmao) But on serious side im planning ahead and we sold the e46 328i while back and got 11 jeep compass for the kids and stroller purpose. My 330i aint going no where haha.

My wife really loved the X3 when we got it as a loner. I'm thinking it may be to small. I've been thinking about a used one or lease, not sure about lease because the car we would trade in is still worth over 20K.

I may look into some cheaper SUV to cover the baby years since I think they would trash the nice BMW suv. Any suggestions on SUVs?

Another friend has X5 which can handle double stroller easy its pretty roomy. I think like I mentioned the Jeep compass is nice or Ford escape but keep in mind you dont even get close the the Quality of interior or exterior paint like on bmw.

Also my recommendation is leather or vinyl interior is must with kids if you want to try to keep it looking good. Fabric if you go to beach ever with a shampoo'er.

My wife actually took their kids to beach with compass the other day...omg im like really... after she got back. Sand everywhere cause of kids... candy stuck/melted on seat (fabric) and small soda spill on black carpet. Spent about 2hrs today vac'in and shampooing whole car.

Kids=disaster for cars

cool, i wasn't aware there were forward facing seats for newborns. I thought forward facing seats were for 6 months and above.

for double stroller, i suggest the Maclaren Umbrella Strollers. they have several double stroller models in mind. There is also Phil & Ted's inline jogging double strollers that should fit the trunk. however, these models are more for older kids, when they outgrow the baby carrier.

Congrats on your upcoming twins! You can definitely fit 2 carseats in the 335 *but* I don't think so if they are both rear facing. That may push your drivers seat up to an uncomfortable position. I have a front facing and rear facing in my 335 now. A single stroller will fit in the trunk but not a double. I bought an X5 for the family truckster for these reasons. It fits the car seats fine (along with ability to sit someone in the middle in a pinch) and the double stroller sits in the back with plenty of room for those trips shopping etc... I definitely recommend getting seat covers, particularly the one from Diono because its adjustable for low baby carriers and high back toddler seats.

Fw facing is not recommended for newborns (their neck is not strong enough to withstand the forward load).

thats what i thought too. i guess that picture then is of a seat for a 6 month and above child. For twins which will have 2 rear facing seats... i dont think it will fit comfortably (and i mean for the front and rear passengers!).

I guess it depends on where you live, but in Canada you can't legally use a forward facing seat until at least 1 year and 20 lbs. But regardless of the law you should use a rear facing as long as possible. Kids necks just aren't strong at the start with their big brains dragging their heads down.

It usually is fine to set 1 rear facing seat because the passenger can cramp a bit (usually its a woman, so it's even easier, no big deal in this case). For a man driving, there is very little room for a rear facing seat to fit behind. That's gonna take a lot of trials at the local baby shop to figure out how to fit 2 newborns at the same time.

You want to keep them facing rearward as long as possible basically. 1yr minimum. I believe you have a E92? Why are we even having this discussion. Game over, get a practical family CUV. Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Highlander, Nissan's gimmick etc. Believe it or not. I just picked up my 4x wheels and tires Friday night with the CRV. All fit behind the seats, Didn't have to fold anything down. Love that CRV.

well first off congrats! I also have 3 kids 2 in boosters and 1 full sized and yes they do fit in the back of the e90 that being said it's not comfy that's what the Outlander is for. Anyways to answer you initial question if you can find a small enough double stroller good luck putting anything else in there with it!!! Best thing is get an X3 or X5 or like me a cheap SUV :-)

Domesticated!

A guy who drives a performance Bavarian machine, loving a CR-V. Now that's being confident with your masculinity. My friends tend to go overboard and say baby's on the way, S6 or Cayenne S or GTS. Why blow all that money, you're gonna need it for the family...

get a cheap van and keep the bmw

2 rear facing is going to be tough , plus the stroller in the back is also going to be hard to fit. However after the first year you can get away with front facing ( much easier to fit) and maybe 2 umbrella strollers

I use two car seats in my 328, one front and one rear facing with no problems.
Trunk space could be a bit bigger but I only need one stroller so it's fine.

Lol I know ^^. In my baby years my parents had an E30 & my dad's toy car was a nice little RWD corolla he had. It wasn't until I was 5 or 6 that we got a bigger car. Ford Taurus station wagon >.<.
