iDrive Touch for X3

I've recently ordered an X3 (back in April) which is due for delivery early September - does anyone know whether the new iDrive Touch is being rolled out into the X3 cars?

The car will have Professional Nav if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance

It depends on the build date. A july build date will have the new i-drive touch controller. If before that, then no.

See, I'm hearing conflicting things about the I-drive touch controller. I seem to remember reading something from BMW that said the X3 would be getting it later this year, but several replies in this forum said it wouldn't happen until next year.
Are we sure about it now?

I'm going by with what BMW has stated in their releases, that idrive touch will be included in 2014 X3's starting with July 2013 builds. Since nobody likely has one in their hands with the newer build date, there is probably no way to verify until it can be eyeballed.

You guys are not missing much, I had a touch pad on my A6, it was fun for about a week and that was it. Its easier to enter letter and numbers with the i-drive. The touch pad knob is already on the LCI F10 which is in the showroom at some dealers. Early reviewer said the touch pad knob did not feel as solid as the old knob.

The touch idrive will NOT be in the MY14 X3's. Starting with 8/13 production, they will be getting all the updates for the NBT but no touch idrive

What are the updates we don't have in the MY 14 X3 with the new NAV before 8/13?

...and it appears that BMW wont be releasing the software updates to our pre-8/13 NBT X3's, so those of us with Android phones are left out in the cold.

The US address format input might be compelling. I still struggle to get the nav to understand addresses from my phone book.
