Excellent job!

Totally agree with your assessment. I'm comparing my M4 to my previous 335i(Dinan stage 2), and 996 911. Massive torque, and a great (although different) sound. Mine is "too" loud at cold start and quiets down after about a minute.

Toys & comfort were the "something extra" I couldn't do without. And now I'm spoiled when I drive other cars. The (P)ark being missing is ridiculous. On an incline it holds but level in my garage it wants to roll. I can't stand the warning every time I go to shutdown.

I do not have the guts to tear into those rear tires yet (I'm at 8 weeks and 1,500 miles). Good on you!

Lastly I agree with their survey issues. If they want real feedback then they need to fix the process. You are a customer that is willing to spend time giving them valuable feedback to help them improve- and its pushed to the side because it will penalize the dealer.

Keep the videos coming. Thanks for spending all of the time and energy on this.

I sold my IB e90 now 2 years ago and every time one passes me my soul aches. I highly doubt by next April when I do another ED that BMW would reintroduce the color and I'm not paying extra for a terrible orange peel paint job from BMW. Best of luck!

The review is good and the one thing about M4 and new M5/M6 is something we 335i guys knew a while ago. Massive torque is as addictive as crack.....

E90 M3 and the V10 M5/6 may have great exhaust but they lack the torque of turbo cars.
I've owned a couple of M3s but I like my 335 better. I suspect the new M4 is more fun but my wallet just can't take the hit.

I'll be waiting for a lease return or a low mileage used where some other poor stiff ate the depreciation in a couple of years. By that time I'll be tired of the 335.

Nice review, seems like a nice dude. You don't need to be Chris Harris to produce an insightful review. Don't even get me started on the circle jerking that's done for CH on this website.

1. I wish I had the attitude on life you have. You don't let things bother you - they just roll off your shoulders and you have that great Kiwi laugh about them. Nice
2. Not only are the audio controls reversed ( +/- should control the track and the wheel/knob should control the sound) but they should be on the left side of the wheel - where they were in your E9x and on all BMWs prior to the cruise being moved to the steering wheel. If you are shifting and want to adjust the volume, the way things are now, you take your hands off the wheel. Why the cruise ends up on the left side is beyond me. Maybe for the people who sit in the right hand seat when they drive?

Loved the review. Thanks!

Doug, I agree 100% about the controls. It's the little details...

Agreed. It's a little detail for sure, but I really liked the volume controls on the left side like they were on my E92.

Congrats on your new M4...I've been following all your Porsche vids for quite some time. I am assuming you lemoned your 911 and didn't replace it with another 911. Welcome back to the BMW family.

Love the review. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I am a couple of years from being able to get my M4 (wife is in medical school with 20 months to go). Your review makes me lust even more for the car and seeing the video of the color in natural light and in motion makes me reconsider going with an individual color.

Thanks again

Tom

Awesome video Nick, the first of your videos I have seen. Good to hear the kiwi accent half way across the world! Also you named your dog after a beer??

As a E92 335i driver, I am always wanting to upgrade to the M4, just the $180k price tag here in Oz that causes the issues!!

Hey Nick - another great video. Good info to share.

As another member suggested - tell us how the SS leather is holding up? Any color transfer from your clothes or pooch?

I still remember the very first video that I watched from you was the "e92 seat belt fix". It's been a long time now, but nice to see you come back to the M family, enjoyed your review of the M4.
