Comfort Access+Trunk=Alarm?

Every now and again when I open the trunk via foot flick with the car locked the alarm will go off. Pushing buttons on the fob doesn't seem to turn it off, only closing the trunk and unlocking the car via handle grab does.

Has anyone else had this issue?

You mean the siren goes off? That doesn't happen to me.

Yes, the siren goes off and as I said it's only now and again (1 time in 10?).

I do have the alarm and comfort access but I don't have this problem at all.

When looking in how you have to turn the alarm off, I'm guessing there is some kind of malfunction in your alarm system. When my alarm goes off (we did something to test if it really worked, lol), I can simply turn it off with the remote, like one should be able to. If you are unable to do this, and it goes off when it shouldn't be going off, then I'm really thinking something is wrong.

I think it would be best to drop by the service department of your dealer as it is warranty

Known fault
Its a software code error

Refer your dealer to "SIB 65 04 12" and they will recode your car under warranty to fix it

I'm new to this forum, I have a 2013 320i without the factory Alarm, can the factory alarm be added to the car now, if so is it pretty much a DIY install? Also, where would one buy it other than from BMW?

No on all counts.

Search this forum for what others are doing to add alarms - none are DIY.
