You could try modding the expensive GTS one that's DCT only or just get a piece from AutoTecknic like I have in mine.

Ha ha "try modding" "expensive" carbon fiber is asking for trouble with my handy work. Did you get a manual compatible piece from AutoTecknic? I didn't think they made one.

My mistake. Just found I on their website.

Seeing as you already have one, can you vouch for the OEM quality/fitment and does the pattern match BMW's carbon fiber trim which I just installed before I drop $600?

I have the full AutoTecknic kit on my car. I don't know how it looks side-by-side to the OEM interior pieces. Fitment on that particular piece was a 9.5/10. It was a clean part.

Did you ever end up getting the center console from Auto Tecknic? If so how's the match to the OEM?

I did. Fitment is good and as to be expected from a "cheap" aftermarket part. I'd describe it as 90% perfect and good value and the pattern is identical to the OEM dash trim, which cost much, much more. The ash tray lid took some careful filing to fit properly though, courtesy of the perfectionists at EAS!

Remind me to upload some pics his wkend sou can see it.
