Oh, that's easy. It's not about BMW vs. Audi but rather about BMW 850i. It was an iconic car, especially in Russia, and many people grew up dreaming about it. Now they have the money but BMW stopped making such cars!!! Not that I would do something like that, but I understand where he is coming from.

This is soooo bizarre - I'm truly blown away as to why someone would do this.

This had to be done as a joke. Owner was probably getting blacked out R8 emblems put on and quickly put the BMW stuff on just to freak everyone out.

What makes me laugh about this is this guy's belief that somehow the R8 isn't already a superior product than any BMW currently made.

Maybe it's about time BMW considered building their own supercar again, but this time round they need to chose a different direction than all the other brands, maybe something ultra-economical yet still wickedly fast with great handling. Set their M-Division a ready challenge instead of just improving joe-normal saloons and coupes.
