Suspension problems
Hey,
Hope someone can help me with this...bought a 4 month old m3 E90 last week and I have sent it back to the garage already as the suspension seems to be playing up... The rear right suspension appears to be lower than the rear left, and I was hearing a rubbing sound (like the tyre on the inside wheel arch) when turning hard right at low speed round car parks, roundabouts etc etc The BMW garage has taken the springs out, done a tyre alignment and told me that all is ok and there was no problem. The latest news I have had is that the car is supposed to sit lower on the right than on the left? Surely this can't be the case? Has anyone else experienced this? Surely the car is supposed to sit level.... Thanks in advance. |

The sound is normal and is the limited slip differential working. The garage can make the sound go away by addition of friction modifier to the differential fluid. You didn't tell us how much lower the right rear is than the left, so I can't comment on that.
