320d Exhaust Upgrade

Could someone please advise me on an exhaust/muffler upgrade to my 320d available in Sydney. I am not sure if it's even worth doing, will it improve the sound and/or performance of a diesel motor. I've only seen Remus muffler listed for my car wondering if there's any other option.

All of above, if there's not performance or sound gain then I'll just change the muffler tips

Give Lambros a call at HiTech in East Sydney. He has done a lot of 335's and 135's so can probably do some thing for an oil burner.

What year is ur E90? I would personally go with supersprint or Remus if u want DPF back system.

If u want cheaper option, either just get a new tip or get a muffler delete. There r a few ppl who has done muffler delete in other forum and said the sound isnt very loud at all. Performance gain is hardly noticeable i think coz u cant really feel the extra few horse most times.

Mine is a 2007 model, one of the first ones. I personally want to get a Remus and would love to hear from someone who had done this. I'd really hate to find out after spending over $1300, all I got out of it is a new tip.

I can supply you an Eisenmann rear muffler as an alternative.

I did alot of research on remus and supersprint before i decided to go with custom roue for my X5 few month back. I have read mix feedback regarding the quality of the remus system. Supersprint and Eisenman are the best in the market with out a doubt and everyone seems very happy with them. If u decide to go with remus, choice the powersound range as it will give u more performance gain. A few ppl seems to believe the basic one are more for appearance and sound.

If u want to go supersprint, ask mike at Best exhaust. Nice bloke.

Or Andrew for Eisenman system.

320d muffler replacement

Dan, did you replace your muffler and if so how does it sound?
I have just bought a new 320d M Sport and hate the exhaust tip, looking at ordering a Eisenmann Duel Tip Muffler and have a choice of sound, either sport or racing not sure what to order as I live in Thailand and if to loud will get stopped by the cop's, if to quiet might as well just replace the tips...

I ended up only replacing the tip as I couldn't find replacing the rear muffler for a diesel produce the sound I liked, it's nothing like a petrol engine with an exhaust.

Doesn't the 320d have an option for a BMW performance exhaust like this one on my 320i that quite a few here have installed?

There really isn't any point in getting an exhaust for a diesel if you're looking for sound. It's still a diesel.

As for performance gains, you will need a supporting tune to take advantage of any freer flowing exhaust system.

Every shot of your car looks damn fine. That definitely beats the factory single oval thing
