Yes brakes are very expensive. These are 380mm Front Rotors. They run about $4400.00

Their filter placement scares me in pick # 2, don't drive through any water.

I really don't understand how just front brakes can cost $4,400. What about the material can be so expensive? Also, at this price range, don't ceramic brakes cost about the same and can at least outlast the life of the car?
