What is the most absurd thing ever? Converting an e46 M3 Coupe to Sedan

This guy is nuts, he's literally moving his M3 coupe onto a 318 chasis. Its a fairly incredible read though, definitely.

http://www.bimmers.no/forum/viewtopi...5aa93ed3ccc0db

Those photos definitely give you a sense of how the car is built though!

That is not the most absurd thing I've heard. Had an e46 m3 sedan existed I would be in it right now.

If by "absurd" you mean "absurdly awesome display of customization skills" then I agree.

I think the final product turned out very nice. I'd like to drive it through the twisties in a year and see how it's holding up.

Folks don't forget that owning an m3 is expensive in europe. They charge all kinds of taxes. Better off owning a 318-320 with an m3 conversion. It makes sense in some countries. Also the sedan looks very good.

He had both obviously? Your comment does not make any sense. And owning an m3 in Europe is not as expensive as you are saying. Fairly the same thing.

If you go in Asia or Australia, thats a different thing. I am in Singapore right now. A normal 323i is worth around 223 000 Singapore Dollars. NO JOKE. I went to the dealership. Convert that into US/Canadians? 172 000. Yes, 172 000. Now THAT are some taxes

I did not read the thread I'm tired but the coupe can be salvage/stolen recovery etc. I'm not trying to make sense just stating why someone would do that.
