Ha, nope, The reason is the blue bag is somewhat squishy - it has hard sides that are 7.5" high and then is malleable up to 10 or 12" (both bags are empty)

My wife's travel pro is a solid throughout so I put that in the back and have my more squishy bag to the front - both bags are empty in the pic.

I like that High Sierra because of that (it's solid but squishy) and also because it has backpack straps (as well as rolls) and has a back pack that zips on the front. I rarely use that feature but if I need to I can carry all of my luggage and my wife's without rolling anything - this has come in handy in some dark corners of Europe For whatever reason people don't hassle a dude carrying 100 lbs of luggage. My wife looks, dresses and acts euro so she can just walk through anything.

Got it - fair enough - may go with the soft luggage option for myself also - bit more versatile.

just for clarity - that's actually an open area so nothing is resting on the tape measure, it just looks that way from the picture.

If you look in the empty trunk width picture, on the far right center you can see the magnetic post that the divider rests on when it's closed which leaves a large gap there plenty big enough for the tape measure.

Amazingly difficult to find the actual spec sheet for the M4 vert that has written dimensions of all this - I guess BMW doesn't want to over advertise the relatively limited space!!

Depends on diameter of your tire. I have a donut in the trunk of my F83. The diameter is 26". (Same as a 255/40/18). That's about as much space as there is Left to Right in the trunk well. Not sure about height-wise (width of your tire).

I can get 2 Tumi 25" 4 wheel roller bags in the trunk with the top down or one Tumi 35" inch bag and a small carryon. Luckily it is only ever me and the wife and you can get a lot in the back seat!

Good info. Do a road trip to Baltimore in July, 1100 miles. Glad to see luggage will fit. Top will never be down when loaded. Expect to bring two 27" travel bags, two pillows, cleaning supplies, camera bag, small cooler, carry-on bag. Guess I will have to remove my subwoofer though
