do some research man.... all of these cars come with a 4 year 50k warranty....which means your 2009 will be covered until 2013 depending on inservice date.

no idea what your budget is but there will be a significant price difference between a 2009 M3 vs a F32....

If $$$ is no issue, i would wait for F32.

sorry. So if i bought a 2009 m3 how much do you think that would be compared to the new f32? Wouldnt the m3 be cheaper? I feel like the f32 would be around 40 for the 328

You can find used 08/09 M3s with descent mileage for $40-45K if you look on autotrader, yahooautos, etc. I bought my 08 M3 last year from a guy locally on Autotrader.com. However, no matter where you purchase the M from if you want a descent extended warranty be prepared to drop an additional $4-6k on one (thats only for extended coverage, not an extended maintenance plan). Do not buy BMWs extended warranty, go through Fidelity (VW offers it) or another 3rd party vendor. I did a lot of research on extended warranties before I purchased one so PM me if you need help on this.

Good post. Spot on.

If you want a NA V8, buy now, get a warranty, drive it like you stole it.

I've got an immaculate one in your price range. Buy it, add the maintenance from Pacific BMW and drive it like you stole it!

BTW Giggs, on the Fidelity Warranty - do you need to "pre-auth" work before you take it in? The BMW extended is great - you just schedule, show up, then sign and leave with your car. Done and done.

I know with the EasyCare extended I purchased the dealer will do all the work to get the "pre-auth" work done. So if anything it may add 1-2 days onto the stay but they would give me a crappy 328 to drive so whats the problem. My car has low miles and I don't plan on keeping it more than 3 years so I was able to get the extended for under 4k. If possible try to purchase the extended prior to your factory warranty expiring it will definitely lower the cost.

From what I've read Fidelity and Easycare are both good warranties. Both were suggested to me by my Service Manager at a good dealer. He actually had me go to another competing BMW dealer to buy it because it was "way better" than what they sold.

With all this I still don't know how well it actually works as I'm still under factory warranty a few more months.

In Canada, if you buy Certified Series from BMW, you get the warranty extended to 6 years/160,000km. So, an 08 would have warranty to 2014 and an 09 would have warranty to 2014 or 2015 (depending on in service date).

Buying a used M3 that is out of warranty and then purchasing an aftermarket warranty is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new M3.

Honestly I was able to get an 09 w/ less than 32k miles, navigation, most options, and pay for the extended warranty (Easycare Total care, +3 years up to 85k and transferable) for under 44k.
