Not sure. I got Miguex to code my vehicle, hes a pro; he might know how to do it.

As far as I know, the daeos is the easiest way to do it but there is also a DIY that uses wiretaps but that is with hardware. I would think that it could be done with software thought.

I'd keep an eye on the coding excel spreadsheet people are adding to. It has all the coding functions and what module they are located in.

I cant get ncs running or communicating with my car. I have downloaded the drivers for the DCAN cable so well see if that helps.

Every time I start NCSEXPERT on windows 7 virtual XP mode it says cannot find api.dll or something similar to that. I am thinking this is a registry error. Anyone know how to fix it?
no its not messy one 1 wire for one head light to the other and in

a member moved to germany and brought his car to germany (BMW came back home lol) he wanted to code an option that was only available in the US so he changed his VO to reflect a car "purchased" in Germany.

You should try and change your VO to US specs. then you can code the same things we can.

Coding Success

Got this working on my 09 323i w/ halogens (LED retrofit).

Left all of the TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE values alone

(TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE & TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_0 seem to be DRL on/off switch. TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_1, TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_2, TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_3 changed nothing for me when turned off)

All I changed was the VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL value - set from drl_h (DRL = high beams) to drl_s (DRL = angel eyes) as per the description in the coding spreadsheet.

Oddly enough though, after my angel eyes would no longer come on when I unlocked the car, going to try a couple things to get this working again, 90% sure I know what it is.

I got a 2010 323i. Halogen lights. No angel eyes. It is Canadian. How do I disable DRL? I tried the in dash settings but it is not there.

Canadian cars don't give you the option to turn on and off. You need to get that option coded to turn on.
