Sytner Sunningdale or Woods Hampshire for Servicing?

My E39 is up for it's major service.

And an MOT too.

Plus I need to have a crank sensor replaced.

And I need to have the drivers window fixed.

Feck, this is going to be expensive!

Sytner Sunningdale is almost on my doorstep, and Woods of Hampshire is on my work doorstep (their service dept).

Of the 2, is there one that stands out more than the other (in a positive way)?

I had a bad experience with Sytner Sunningdale many years ago, so have avoided them at all costs. But most of the feedback I see now is generally quite positive.

Many thanks in advance,

K

I've used Wood in Hampshire and was pleased with them.

I actually got a service quote from Cooper Reading and Wood. Wood were slightly cheaper and seemed to know what they were talking about compared to Cooper.

Sytner Sunningdale, no contest! You're right in that we receive a lot of positive feedback these days.
If you decide to go with us, feel free to send me a PM with your details and I will be happy to ensure that you are well looked after - the Dealer Principal at Sunningdale oversees services personally

I'm off to Wood tomorrow for Oil / Microfilter / Brake Fluid change on my 320d, mine came from Barons of Farnborough, after one experience of Barons service team I'll not be returning there, incidentally Wood seem to be some what cheaper than Vines in Guildford or Sytner Sunningdale, perhaps as it's a little further south.

I use BMW Harwood in Basingstoke. Very happy so far and also seem to be the cheapest.

They are only a service centre so they seem to keep prices down. They also service all the local BMW police vehicles.

Can’t say I value Woods Hampshire - been very "relaxed" in my last 3 BMWs. They have also overcharged me on various items. Have not used them in a good while after I enquired to a car and in the end bought it elsewhere because they seemed like they didn’t want the sale?

I use Bartley (indi) now as Scotthall Hampshire have also lost my custom. Stealers...

I used sunningdale when it was William Jacks so going back a few years. Will probably use them for servicing again although their sales weren't really interested in my business a few weeks back so I bought a car the next day on the phone from someone very helpful. Obviously too much cash coming in....

Adam, apologies this isn't good news, I'd be interested in hearing more about your experience if you have time to PM me your feedback.

On a more positive note, congratulations on the new car.

I've used Wood Hampshire several times and they seem decent enough - they haven't done anything obviously dumb, they're easy to book, give out courtesy cars without exhorbitant charges, will pick up cars from miles away.

They've even learned to read ahead on the keyfob computer record and give you the option of doing forthcoming services together rather than just doing what the computer says and then leave you needing to come back two months later.

No complaints to be honest.
