Check out this vid of an LS3 with full bolt ons. Violent power.

LS3 is a GREAT engine guys. Research before you say things like "you lost your credibility on this board."

911 comment - 997.1's aren't too quick but the 997.2 + pdk I'd have to say they are pretty darn quick. Likewise, an M3 with full bolt ons are rockets too.

haha the only people who have lost credibility are the e9x, particularly m3 drivers, who think they own a sports car. the m3 stopped being a sports car after the e36, although the e46 was amazing in its own right, it is not a true track monster like earlier M's were tuned to be. the e90 m3 is a disgrace to what old M's used to be, in fact the whole M brand is becoming a disgrace, putting the tag on SUV's, lol.

and yes, the ls3 is way better than the e90 m3 engine in most measurable aspects, but i don't see why anyone would swap it into an m3. why not just buy a z06, which is hands down a better performance car than the m3 (ls3 or not) will ever be.

FWIW the e9x chasis is pretty damn good not to mention it is pretty damn practical. I could never justify putting an LSX into an M3 but, if the price was right, I could justify swapping one into my 335i

Dream engines:
-a supercharged LS3 with ported heads and a full back exhaust
-an LS7 modified to accept a flat plane crank, full back exhaust...

b/c of the ls3/ls7 I constantly go back and forth on trading my z4m in for the z06 or even the grans sport c6. I just don't think I would have that much fun in such a brute chassis through. The engine is a masterpiece

the gran sport is a steal if you ask me, I'd get that and throw basic bolt ons at it.

totally agree!

that car looks like COMPLETE shit on the outside but an LSx swap is awesome.... esp. supercharged.

I saw an S13 240 at Barber one track day that had an LS2 in it. It was owning EVERYTHING out there- very fun to watch.
