those wheels are hideos, imo. maybe its just the awkward paint scheme that doesnt let the design work.

Open the link and look/read whats under the hood.

I could give a flip about the wheels, although I don't mind them.

See here is an example of the common fanboy. I bet you would like 360forged better huh. Those wheels are the most expensive lightest wheels on the market. 10k a set. Best performance wheels to this date. Dymag wheels They are partners of HRE for their carbon fiber series wheels.

what the fuck are you talking about? i simply commented on their appearance, i didnt downplay their functionality. just because i find them ugly doesnt mean im a wheel 'fan boy'.

So am I correct in understanding this thing has a 527ci V8? Or is it just a model number for a modified M3 engine?

Racing Dynamics/RD Sport, calls this engine upgrade, the RS46.
The RS46 is rated @ 527 HP at the crank on 93 oct gas. 115 HP per liter!
MSRP for the RS46 stroker conversion is $32,000.00.
The regular stock E9x M3 engine has been bored and stroked to 4610cc/4.6 liter V8, as opposed to the stock 3999cc/4.0 liter V8. It also has equal lenght, handmade, 42mm headers, (2) 100cell cats and full exhaust. All internal engine component replaced meet or exceed BMW's stock parts replaced. For example, RD Sport used larger Mahle pistons, the same company that provides pistons for BMW's stock M3 E9x engines.
When the SAE corrected dyno results, 430whp & 338 wtq were done, the car only had 2000 miles on the conversion, run on 91 oct gas and final software was still being developed. It has now been driven 8k miles on 93 gas and with the final software, it is expected to be at least around 440-445whp and 350-355wtq SAE, and all naturally aspirated. Essentially, putting down the same torque at the wheels than most super chargers while remaining naturally aspirated and with engine warranty.

Holy moley! 440 hp from a 280ci engine? Amazing! Those numbers are VERY impressive for a NA car. For the NA purist, this has to be about as good as it gets before you start to get into alcohol / massive displacement madness. It makes me wonder if the throttle response is worth the extra $32,000 since an N54 can make that power for less than $2500.

The key with NA cars is the linear, smooth and consistant power delivery when pushing them to the limit, which builds all the way to the redline, not just from 1000-4500 rpms.

Just ask anyone with a RWD turbo car how easy it is to spin out coming out of a coner when pushing the car at a track...I know many people with RWD turbo cars dont even try to overtake another car in corners because they have seen others end up at the wall or its happened to them.

This type of car should only be compared to other cars that can make around 115 HP per liter while remaining NA.

In any case, the buyer would be getting this package at a fraction of the price.

Lets keep this thread about this car, and not turbo cars.
Thanks.
