Front License Plate with ACC
I noticed that the front license plate holder blocks the radar for the Automatic Cruise Control (ACC). Has anyone with this feature encountered any issues mounting the front plates without interfering with the radar?

See the attached picture. The license plate holder fits on the 4 bolts you see on the bumper just above the radar. |

Thanks Eu001939 for the reply and picture. But the license plates in Europe have a smaller width than in the United States. Anyone in the US have encountered a problem?

I don't have this issue on my X5, and I have a US license plate up front. I'll take a pic and send it after I get off from work.
EDIT - OK, here's a shot of the front grill - I believe the ACC radar sensor is located in the left side, nowhere near the license plate.

If that's the radar then yes, it is partially blocked by the license plate. But it doesn't seem to matter - my ACC works just fine.
Upon reconsideration I think the thing I took the photo of is probably either for lane departure warning or for seeing speed limit signs for the heads-up display.

The ACC radar is in the box below the number plate.

Hi,
Picked up my X4 35d last week and the Lane Distance warning and Active Cruise Control Distance Warning were giving an error and stopped functioning, just said couldn't be initialised. It finished up being the bottom of the number plate overlapping the radar recess by a good 50mm, raised the plate up so the bottom is at the top of the bumper recess where the radar is located and fixed the problem.
