Wink DIY: F10 M-Sport Fog Lights Replacement (with Photos)

Searched the forums for M Sport Fogs DIY.. everyone said it's really easy and you just pull off the grill and replace.. YES!! it's that easy, no tools required.. but I took a few snaps and figure i put this up so everyone can have a better visual of the install.

Bulbs: H11 (Philips Diamond Vision 5000K H11, Price: 350 HKD)
Tools: no need, just your hands. (a trim removal tool can come in handy, but not necessary)
Time: ~5-10 mins.

**Don't go from the wheel well, there's a radiator/oil cooler blocking access on my 520i**

1. Pull the Grill, start from one corner, and pull straight out. 6 clips in total, see red arrows.
2. remove the black plastic behind the grill (some cars have this, some doesn't)
3. Reach your hand in, twist out bulb, replace with new, twist back in.
4. Do both side, test if they work
5. Now is a good time to clear those inside edges of the grill/bumper.
6. Snap grills back into place, straight.

I don't suppose you have any idea how the centre grill removes, I have a camera to install & I don't really want to take the bumper off?

How does the camera connect to the sat nav? I've been thinking of fitting reversing and ahead looking bullet cameras but that's as far as I've got. where would the power come from?

The center grill pops off the same as the fog light covers do, it's easier to pull off with a tool with a hook to get behind the grill and pull it out at the tabs. If you're doing the front camera retrofit please do a DYI, I also want to add the front camera. What all parts do I need? Just the camera or do I need a module too? I've read it doesn't need to be coded if you have the reverse camera already. Please let us know, thanks.

Sorry for the delay: I'm fitting the BimmerTech camera & SmartView. The single camera fits in the lower centre grill and runs back to a module that interfaces between the Nav & Screen. SmartView is another box that connects to the module and will replicates your Android phone screen onto the Cars Nav screen, I really do need to get stuck in and get it installed.

It was a pita when i took mine off. i dont recommending pulling it with brute force. it may come off but the clips are meant to be pushed back while pulling on the grill. i suggest getting the trim remover to aid with this task.
