Now throw into the mix the fact that BMW has lost their minds on lease rates & residuals. This car will cost close to $2000 a month in Canada.

No thanks!
Don't I know you from somewhere? lol

Yes $2k for this is just

Rather get an R8 or so

I suffer from the same illness, however M Carbon Ceramic brakes is not even a thought in my mind. I don't see it an option, I see it as a completely unnecessary expense.

Not to mention the hit on trade in of my current m3. At 100K and going to look into a P-car or I might just keep the e92.
Ya. and I prefer to have the bigger, classier M5 for the same payment. No doubt about that.
I have my fun toy car, I just want to replace my S4. But it won't be the M3 with those prices. Hardly worth it.

Maybe after taxes, not before!

Haha! how's it going buddy?

Ya exactly, I pay less for my R8 on a finance then an M3 will cost to lease. There is something wrong with that!

And I will echo what others have said. Dealers in the Vancouver market don't discount very much at all. They are almost always using their full production allotment so discounting is just dollars our of their pocket without any additional benefit.
100k+ for an M3! Why do they charge us $12k more than the US?

the same reason the guy in Australia pays $200k for an M3 haha

So our problems in that sense COULD be worse!

Even if its $12K less in the US, that means it'll be $88K with ALL the bells and whistles. Thats WAAAAY too much. I'd get a slightly used Carrera S 991 all day before I had to swing $90K for an M3. This car went way too far up market.

You do realize that they are talking Canadian Dollars, not to mention cars are more expensive in Canada right?

interesting, with the options I actually want / need, car comes out cheaper than a similarly equipped E92 M3 (converting into U.S. dollars - est.). I end up with a $71k basically. There's a lot of packaged crap I don't want.

Canadian pricing for new cars is a joke. A well packaged M3/4 for 100k before tax/fees?

Ya just keep your E92M or spring for an R8 or C2/4S

The only reason to get the new M is for utility and you are a fanatic...

If you are commenting it still means you are trying to rationalize the thought... Don't overanalyze and get something that truly sings to you

I'm sure it will be a fun car

Ok, some of you guys compare CAN price of the M4 with the US price of Porsche 911 or Audi R8. But how much costs a 911 or R8 in Canada?

Unfortunate, I'm considering an F80 M3 as my next car (along with a bunch of others) but at $85k well equipped it is extremely far from being competitively priced.

For another $5k or so I think I'd rather get a 2015 Z06...
I've seen at least 3 articles saying this z06 will cost in the 6 figures. It is faster than the outgoing ZR1 and that one will not be replaced as per GM.
Bottom line I think there will be at least 15-20 k price difference
I'm not sure the Z06 will be in the 6 figures, maybe with every options possible! The Stingray starts at 50k, I don't see the Z06 costing twice as much!

OK, I specced out an M4 with the same options my E92 has (of which quite a few now standard on the M4), I come up to $82195. Not bad considering my E92 came out to $86k back in 2008. That's a 4.4% price drop after 6 years, not bad at all.
Quote:
Damn, a loaded F8X will be an expensive car here in Canada (over $100k) . That is into M5 territory .

Metallic paint was a no cost option on my E46 and E92. Now they are charging $895 for it. However the adjustable lumbar support/side bolsters are now included (was $1200 on my E92), so is the Harmon Kardon (I am guessing the equivalent of premium sound as there is no option, was $2000 on my E92) and iDrive/nav ($2000 on my E92). Other new features also standard such as heated steering and adaptive cruise control. The 19" are also standard (was $2000 on my E92). It seems the base car is getting more value, but the options really push it up.

CCB are $8500 , I guess I'll skip on that one .
There are further options that can be added to the M3/M4 that boost the price further up. But IMO, from a "value" point of view, we are getting more for the money vs the E9X.

Do we get any additional standard features at that whopping base price? This is going to hurt a lot after freight/pdi/documentation/tire/random other crap that seems to appear on invoices.

Disappointed to see nav isn't an optional feature. I really never used it in the E92 (LCI'ed)

15% sales tax(include luxury tax) in BC plus infamous local dealer's special "M" fright & PDI $2995. This car will almost cost as much as my M5 if no discount is given.

(The C7 Z06 will carry a 6 figure to start price tag. $90k is doable if you own your own Chevy dealer)
