I installed these a while back and no issues, actually it was a breeze. I did use the factory clamps instead of the V-band clamps that came with it. They were just easier to work with fitment wise.

Just an FYI, if they are a copy of the RR V1 downpipes, I'd be careful. I HATED my V1s: they clanked, rattled, and generally did not fit all that well on my 335. They tried to blame it on poor installation, but I did it myself and I know they were installed correctly. Finally, AMS installed their RR dps on their 335 and had exactly the same issues I was having, so I'm certain I wasn't alone.

Not for XI..
Pricing is great if everyone can get 2.5" dp's for 300$ without a problem. Debating on these or just going with what I know will be POWER with out a doubt for more(3" AR) |

Yes and in fact I think it's better like this. The gradual transition is better for the airflow. The AR and Macht Schnell are made with abrupt transitions just for marketing brag.

Did any of you guys that received the PLM downpipes notice a dent in them? I noticed they received some bad feedback.
Edit: Nevermind, dent used for fitment to keep pipes from vibrating. Last edited by dboonephs; 10-06-2010 at 10:03 PM.. |
