Question Steering Wheel Compatibility

I have a 2006 325i with sport package. My sport steering wheel has seen better days. I started looking into having the cosmetic wear fixed but I came across another member of the forums selling a sport steering wheel. The wheel he is selling is from a 2009 335i LCI. I attached the link to his post.

I am just trying to make sure that the sport steering wheel from the 2009 will actually fit on my 2006.

Let me know what you all think.

I don't think there have been any changes to the non-paddle steering wheels during the e9x production run that would affect compatibility. If you want to be 100% sure, you can do some comparisons between years at http://www.realoem.com/. If you have an early 2006 steering wheel without the bumps on the rim, keep in mind that likely has a different part number than the newer ones. It was a change made during the '06 MY production run, I'm pretty sure.

Have you considered upgrading to an M-Tech or M3 steering wheel? I just installed a pre-enjoyed M-Tech wheel a few weeks back and while the added thickness took some getting used to, the higher-grade leather feels a lot nicer. Just a thought...

I thought about the m3 wheel but I don't have the money to get one of them right now. I'm trying to find a sport wheel that is in better condition than the one I have.
