Smile What's the best CA smog legal aftermarket exhaust for E46 M3?

Ok so here is my question....Basically I am looking at doing an exhaust system on my E46 M3 coupe but I want it to remain CA smog legal and not throw any CEL's. I have looked at super sprint, fab speed, agency, milltek and many others, and to be honest, and to be honest I am leaning toward either the milltek cat-back system or the Agency power axle-back system. Does/has anyone tried or know anyone who has had either of these exhaust systems on either their E46 or E90/92 M3? If so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks guys! Also, please feel free to make or suggest any other systems that you know of that might be good.

As long as it's a muffler system and the cats aren't touched, then you will pass smog

Cool, thanks. Passing visual is really the only catch anyway. If you alter or touch the cats then you will definitely fail emissions. The trick for me has always been finding a way to do as much to the engine/intake/exhaust system w/o the smog tech. flagging you for visual failure. I usually try to go for subtle mod's or one's that "appear" stock as to not tip them off.

The cats are located in the headers for an E46 M3, so you'll still be fine replacing the rear muffler since you wont be touching those at all. You'll be fine to get any of those exhausts. I'd concentrate on getting the exhaust that you feel is best for your car instead of getting the car smogged.

Sounds good thanks for the feedback. I didn't see it on your site, but do you guys carry either the Agency system or the Milltek system? If not, can you get those if need be?

I mean, I'm not "worried" I'm just conscious about it. I see from your signature that it looks like you own and E46 yourself. What type of system are you running on yours if any?
