Limp Mode, possible solenoid or turbo failure?
so today as I was driving on the highway, the engine reduced mode came on, and i used jb4 on dash diagnostic and received code 2A82 (intake VANOS jammed mechanically) and 3100 (over boost), now I have jb4 with intake and dps, at the time of the limp mode, the tune was off. According to the forum, I might need to change or clea my intake solenoids valve, so my question is, did this caused my car to go into limp mode? Wastegate rattles btw.
thanks in advance |

I had the same codes and I tried cleaning both solenoids before I spend
money buying new parts. After I cleaned them, I pushed the car hard to test and I went on a long distance trip. The car runs smoother than before and the codes are not coming back so far. Definitely try cleaning them! Here's DIY link. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=486201 FYI, I used maf sensor cleaner to clean them. |
