I love you south. seriously. To say that you thought it was common knowledge that all m3s would get the new i-drive. I NEVER KNEW!!! I was going to say when I spotted the fox red interior that it was the same from the le mans coupe...so we can finally be sure that the e92 09 m3 is getting the new i-drive. this just made my day.

Why? They knew this was coming and still decided for an 08 to get it sooner.

I knew the 09 E90 M3 would be updated per the E90 LCI and that's why I am waiting for an 09.

I am just shocked that some are saying that this is/was common knowledge. When did we talk about that?

Anyone else notice that the sedan doesn't have a lip spoiler? I kinda like the way it looks without it.

Next question for South. Do you know if the sprache for the i-drive is selectable now that it is hard-drive based? Or are you stuck with one language only?

I like the new I-Drive, but I am not sold on the rear tail lights. I will have my '08 in the next couple of weeks and then I will be looking towards a 2010 M3 in two years.

Did you guys notice the holes on the RPM gauge? I wonder what that could be? Im thinking shift lights as on HUD like on the M5 and M6?

Check out the sedans in the photo gallery. They all have a lip spoiler on the edge on the trunk. I wonder if the 2009 models will still have it as standard or maybe even if BMWNA will have the option of a spoiler-delete.

I've gotta say, I think the 2009 sedan looks so much better from the rear that I'm second-guessing my decision to get the coupe.

Yea, I checked it out. Funny, the 08 E90 M3 did have the lip. Easy to remove if you don't like it though.

I love Le Mans Blue. It doesn't look so great here, but IRL it is awesome. I like it much better than IB because it doesn't have the purple tones.

Other interior changes:

There is now a metallic strip on the passenger side cupholders.

The Start/Stop button looks a bit different.

+1 on the new tail but I still think it's too "red". I love Lemans Blue. It's stunning, but I dont know if I'd take it over IB. I like the purple tones in IB. Nevertheless, IB and LMB are great colours.

one complaint though:

WHY a facelift now after people just got their E90 M3? and WHY does the E90 M3 and E90 regular model have different headlights? It looks silly.

I thought that you could always do the spoiler delete option?

Maybe another specialty of the European version (although the wrong wheels are mounted ). Here you always could do the spoiler delete option. Maybe not in the US.

Best regards, south
