BMW Type 124 Rims/tires on e90 pre-LCI
Hello,
I recently purchased an 07' 328i and it had the stock 16" type 156 rims. I looked into getting some different BMW OEM rims and came across some type 124 rims off of an 05' 5-series. I searched everywhere online to see if the type 124's with 18x8 front and 18x9 rear staggered would fit on an e90. Well I am here to say that, YES they do fit! I met up with the dude today and swapped out the stock 16" type 156 for the 18" type 124's. Here are some pics and specs, hope this helps someone in the future! Let me know what you think! On another note, whats up with those stock 16's? I mean, they didnt fill the wheel wells out at all and just looked so boring.
I love the way these new 18's fill the wheel wells...looks so clean. I will say to anyone looking to add these rims or a similar staggered setup. ..definitely no spacers need because they are wide enough. Like, another inch would be too wide. |

Alright, so please educate me. Why would I put spacers in? What is the point?
Right now, with the 18x8 and 18x9 with 225 and 245 tires respectively they are barely under the wheel wells as it is. Why would I make them even wider? Performance or Looks? |

depending on your offsets, at the least a rear spacer would help fill out the wheel well some.

I appreciate the advice, let me know if you have any other suggestions. Also- I used to drive an Audi and the forums all sucked. It's so nice to see the BMW family helping each other out. Thanks everyone!!!!!!! |

Man, your car looks awesome!.
I am about to do the same. Could you please confirm that after these months you didn't have any issue with the tires rubbing?, also, would you let me know what tires size you kept a the end?, all good?, do you plan to lower your car? Thank you and will post pictures once my car is ready! Thanks! |

Hey Man,
Sorry so late...had this setup for about a year now and NO RUBBING issues at all. I have Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3's- 225/35/18 on the front and 255/35/18 in the rear. Let me know if you have any other questions, good luck! Quote:

So i have also bought some style 124 wheels for my 3 series. Are yours the AWD 124's or the rwd 124's? they have different offsets from each other. http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/124
