Angry Wrap FAIL NIGHTMARE **updated**

So this past weekend I decided to take up an offer to wrap my car cheap as an introductory period for this new shop down in Miami. They we're offering full car wraps for a little less than $900. The results we're horrifying. I'm just glad I got to get a partial refund...I'm taking the loss and moving on.

Lesson learned...you get what you pay for...

Just thought I'd share this with you guys so if you guys have any future plans of wrapping your bmw's always pay the premium and go to trusted professionals.

On to the pictures.

From a distance it looks good....

Going to take the loss and get it re-done the right way by a legitimate shop/professional. Cars getting dropped off on the 15th so I'll keep anyone who's interested updated

1/20/2014 update
Cars been with a local vinyl installer/wrapper this week and the results so far are far more superior than the effort that was put in with the first time the car was wrapped.

Here's some updates

Wow, looks like something a first timer would do. From a distance your car looks good.

Check your paint when wrap is getting replaced. I'm sure they slashed your paint while cutting out excess vinyl.

I hope they didn't damage the paint, for 900 I wouldn't take a chance with shop I don't know. I did wrap my car for the first time by my self and it turned out perfect.

Partial refund??? You paid for a service and they didn't follow through. I wouldn't accept anything other than a 100% refund.

Good idea, really important that you check and make them pay up if they messed up your paint.

That's just terrible. My first time vinyl wrapping my interior trim didn't look half as bad as that.

Is that satin pearl? It's going to look amazing once you get it done by professionals, good luck!

I'm going to have the person installing my vinyl take a look at the entire car with me when we remove the vinyl in 2 weeks to get it redone.

Wow...looks like they did it in a hurry and heated the vinyl too much and it tore or wrinkled in corners.

unless they guaranteed workmanship or have some kind of satisfaction or refund policy you aren't entitled to a refund. He paid for a $900 wrap job and got a $900 wrap job. Its a misconception your automatically entitled to a refund due to bad work. You still get paid for bad work. He did the best thing and recouped what he could and moved on (pretty sure the shop, especially a new one, isn't interested in refunding the cost of materials and based their refund on at least breaking even).
I would make sure the next shop provided some sort of written guarantee before turning my money over.

Damn, that's crazy...but thanks for sharing! On the bright side, it looks legit from a distance. I'm sure ppl will respect it. Getting mine wrapped soon, so now I know what to look for. Good luck on the next try.
