I like the exterior - very well done IMO. But the dash is horrible. I couldn't drive while looking at that.

Can't believe people don't like this more... I think it is stunning and it makes me sad about every current bmw design... I'd buy that car in a second....

I honestly think its phenomenal.

AMAZING!

To me, the ultimate BMW 'classics' were of the 70s.....some carried into the 80s and very few BMWs have since captured that spirit.....the closest to capturing it was definitely the E82 1-series, which is why i'm in love with it.

i wish they made a 'retro' car like this E9-like concept! It would be fantastic.

I clicked on this expecting to love it and I think I hate it. As others have said, too much body up front and the belt line is so high it looks like a Challenger.

Agree completely. I absolutely love this concept design. I also agree with the person who said this exercise shows us how amazing the original design really was.

That prominent belt-line - you see it on the E82 and also (though more subdued) on the new 2.

Absolutely incredible. I agree on the "tweaking" part. But then again every car out there could use some "tweaking" but so far I think it is beautiful.

This is the best looking BMW concept I can remember (apart from the M1 homage). This car looks absolutely awesome.

Brilliant job.

I've always wanted BMW to do something like this. I would prefer if the C-pillar was thinner and the windows taller/larger greenhouse. The back is perfect. The front needs something. Maybe slightly larger headlights and less flat surface on the front. The kidneys, front grill and headlights should flow together better. Otherwise, very cool.

I like the side and rear views, not so much the front. Not liking the dash, either.

And I owned a 1974 E9 - wish I still had it.
