On top of the current rebates, Amazon is offering an additional 4% instant rebate, which knocked the price down to $1919. Couldn't resist.

It also made the 70-200 f2.8 IS-II and the Sigma 35 f1.4 very attractive. But I've wanted the TS for a long time and I have two trips to cities (Chicago and Boston) this summer. Plenty of uses for the TS there.

Those are 95mb/s read, 45mb/s write. Fast enough for that price, though.

Yes, the announced speed is always for reading.

I already have two of the sandisk card version; same speed, and buffer clears out ok for what I do with them. I stick to my Lexar's for primaries, but when you need volume, they will be handy.

From a single game, I can shoot over 400 shots for a total of 50 min. gametime. I cover 16 of them throughout the weekend; 28 for the final event. I'll need volume for sure.

And for trips; if they prevent me from having to bring my laptop everytime and stick to my tablet, I'll be a happy camper!

EDIT: Just saw that their limited quantities at 9.95 didnt last long. They're already out. They got some left at 14.95 tho.

Have any of you guys upgraded to LR5? It seems to be noticeably faster for me (although LR4 was never really slow either).

I'm waiting a bit. My LR4 is on a flash drive that is almost full (along with cs6, so I would have to uninstall the old program before loading the new one, which always ends up having issues for me

Some of the new features sound pretty nifty though.
