ACC fan here, my Tarheels have a horrible football program but will hopefully redeem themselves this basketball season. Not my alma mater, but I went to UNC-Wilmington and we didn't have a football team.

Thats some pretty crazy stats, I hope the whole conference knocks them out of the championship (no one goes undefeated). That's really the only way I could see them not being in the championship.
Youre right, the problem with SEC is that they knock themselves out of high rankings. Cant wait untill the 4 team playoff system to start next year.

The playoff system will be interesting to see. I thought they should've went for the full playoffs like they do in FCS. Instead of having bowl games, have the games sponsored just like they are now. That way they won't complain about losing the money, the bigger the games the more the sponsors pay just as it is now. I've always thought the BCS was a flawed system anyway.

Michigan state, best school ever. I can't stand manziel thou. I think the dude is overrated. Almost every Heisman trophy winner that has entered the NFL have done nothing so far. I think if he keeps going with that attitude, he can joing young,Reggie, Matt leinart, Troy smith and tebow. With the exceptions of Carson, newton and RG3.

The new system will be much more exciting. I'm sure the tv numbers will be huge so hopefully that will get them to expand to at least an 8 team system.

They (NCAA) will, after all this is ultimately about money... More teams in the play offs = more televised game = more $$$

I haven't really looked into it, but how does the 4 team system work other than the obvious of 4 teams competing for a championship lol? Are there still going to be bowl games as there are now?

Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton, and Chick-fil-A bowls will rotate for the semifinals games. The championship will be bid out like the superbowl. From what I've read...

That's the way I figured it would be. Also the reason why they're bringing up more teams to FBS from FCS.

I know that feeling, I'm a GT fan. But the ACC has been doing fairly well for itself this year with Clemson beating UGA and Miami beating Florida. VT and UVA didn't help out though. Hopefully they can keep it up.

2014 season I'll also become a Sun Belt fan. Georgia Southern is moving up and I'm hoping they can compete in this division like they have in the SoCon. My fiance graduated from there last year.

So what good games are going on this weekend? I won't be able to watch any, but I will be at the GT vs. NC game, hopefully it's good. Maybe it'll be like last years 68-50 game lmao

Looks to be a slower weekend for the big guys, lot's of fluff game before getting into the meat of the schedule. I'll be in Baton Rouge for the LSU - Auburn game. Hopefully LSU takes care of business but Auburn always plays us tough and they are looking much improved this year.

Also wan to watch the Stanford - Az. St. game, should be a good game.

Like he said slow weekend, but some interesting match ups

Arizona St. @ Stanford: Only game between ranked teams, also should begin to give us an idea of whether or not Stanford can challenge Oregon

Boise St. @ Fresno St. (Happening now): Is Fresno St. good enough to make it to a BCS game?

Auburn @ LSU: Could be a big upset for Auburn... But LSU has been playing great football. In my opinion LSU has the best chance to upset the tide in regular season play now that Texas A&M lost.

Michigan St. @ Notre Dame: MIchigan St.'s 4th win would be a big one

As a life-long Michigan fan, I'm excited about the direction Coach Hoke has the Wolverines headed. I was fortunate enough to drive my M3 back and spend a couple of days in Traverse City and then Ann Arbor to attend the "Under the Lights II" game on September 7th. WOW! 115,109 in attendance and my wife and I were 8 rows off the sideline. I spent most of my vacation in front of the game, so if they lost, it wouldn't spoil the entire trip...thankfully it didn't! Unfortunately though, they gave me quite a scare last week.

Watching Fresno St. now, they are looking good. Completely forgot about ND vs Mich. St.! That should be a good game as well and I like Mich. St.

After watching that game yesterday, I'm concerned. Seems like a lot of players have a bit too much attitude. if they back it up with their play, that's one thing, but they gave up a lot of points yesterday. I like how Sumlin is executing suspensions and demanding a better response from his players, but that Alabama game is looming large and will be the first time the defense is on the field together.
What year?

Looking forward to the game next week against LSU....GA had two tough openers so the game against NT is a welcomed relief for this die hard fan I certainly hope we take the game against LSU since the Falcons to a "L" against the Saints (won't hear the end of it from a buddy of mine).

Thanks for the concern regarding the recent flooding. Boulder seems to have taken the brunt of the flood in comparison to those of us here in the Springs. Hope all up north are doing well. From fires to floods, it has been an interesting year in Colorado!
