Fellow 1Addicts in NYC metro area with JB3 chip burner I can use?

Looking to upgrade my JB3 to sw version 1.4. Anyone in the NYC metro area that has one, willing to let me drop by to use it today (Sunday)?

PM please or reply to thread.

Thanks in advance.

I think the guys that makes the JB3 have a 15 day trial period.
It may just say a plug and play but thats reffering to how it connects to ecu through its actual pinouts.
To borrow someone's is a pretty daunting request, maybe there are some really nice guys. goodluck

edit:
If your lookign for a software upgrade i believe you can download/upgade for free. as long as you have the proper board.

When jb3 2.0 comes out you will be able to connect the JB3 to a computer and update it in the cabin, but you need to have a chip burner to update until then.

Sorry about the confusion. In the thread title it says I'm looking for the actual jb3 chip burner. The device to upgrade the sw version on my jb3. Right now I have version 1.3 but version 1.4 is out now. The chip burner looks like this:

http://burgertuning.com/burner.html

You take you microchip off the jb3 unit , put it on the chip burner, connect to your pc via USB, update software , reinstall and you're good to go. I just don't have the $50 chip burner yet.

okay now I get what your asking. Confused on what you were actualy asking sorry. Software is free to download but you need a remote unit to actualy put the program on the chip. So I guess not such a daunting task to request, the trouble is finding one in your area hence your post.
