Is this a better alternative than expensive BBK's??

Sorry for posting again, Im just a very curious person

So I stumbled upon these brakes while strolling the getbmwparts.com website. These brakes look pretty awesome and are a lot cheaper than other BBK's!

What do you guys think? Will these fit a e92 M3??

"Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full"
I don't think they fit.

Despite the pretty yellow colored calipers, those would actually be a downgrade from your stock brakes, assuming they fit, which they wouldn't.

Won't fit, and they are a downgrade. Do it right or don't do it at all.

Those are garbage.

Unless you are supercharged, the only thing you really need are steel lines and good fluid to resist fade, and replace the pads with something more aggressive.

I must be missing something. I had Brembo's on my Saleen and these brakes are much better stock. Granted, I haven't been on a track yet, so maybe they fade bad and I don't get that on the street. But as far as street driving, they are great brakes. As a matter of fact, I think the real danger with them is that the guy behind you won't be able to stop nearly as fast!

Yes, the brakes are fine for the stock/FBO powertrain on the street, and the mods I mentioned improve longevity on the track. The brakes are fine for the car, but it's extremely popular to bitch and moan about how the E9X M3 has shitty brakes. These are usually the same people that complain about torque.

Yeah oem brakes suck and the engine has no torque. Both are legitimate complains. What's your point?

I've been here long enough for me to know you're a troll, a clown, and canadian. Not sure which of those is worse, but all three together is enough for me to know better than to waste time on your bullshit.

Couldn't be more right The track guys know how good are stock brakes are and with those simple upgrades ( affordable ) you can spend a whole day without any issues. Not to take away from a BBKs...they look awesome and certainly I wish mine looked more esthetically pleasing...none the less ...stock BMW brakes on the M3 are more than adequate...most people who bitch about are brakes, have never had their car to the track and never intend to....so lots of these points and discussion fall on deaf ears and are futile !!!

Go easy on the Canadian thing ehh...no need to make it personal However, American or Canadian, when you're an idiot does it matter ..lol

Cheers

Have brake pads, fluid, SS lines, and still get fade at the track, especially at Cayuga. OEM brakes are garbage. Let's be honest, the only reason BMW put those brakes on and not a BBK like every other performance car at that price tag (or even half that price tag) is to save a few bucks

BTW, if the track guys know how good the OEM brakes are, how come almost everyone of them has a BBK?

Not fully true lots of guys that bitch about oem brakes track regularly. They don't dissipate heat all that well which leads to super high pad use. If you go a lot savings in pads pays for the bbk. Weight is the enemy. My e90 ate pads now my e46 is pretty light on them despite being faster due to 600lb reduction.

I'm not disagreeing with ya folks nor did I say stock E9X M3 brakes were better than BBKs...I did say they're more than adequate for track/lapping and for stock perform really well...Obviously BBKs have advantages and if you're making a more dedicated or regular track car than that's the way to go. New brake lines, fluids and upgraded pads with stock calipers and rotors is more than adequate....just my opinion.

Cheers

The stock brakes with SS lines and Motul 600 are pretty good, I beat the snot out of mine and I'm supercharged. Sure a BBK is better and perhaps on the track it's a must, will see
