BMW a Driving Obsession

A fighter jet is not "just an airplane." Yes, you can compare a Cessna 172 and YF-23 fighter jet as they are airplanes. But saying a BMW is just a car is technically correct and wholly inaccurate!

Great story on CNBC about "BMW a Driving Obsession"

How do you like your 12 335is? Seems to be rare these days. Don't see too many on the road and kind of like it that way.

This is a great vid.

Ahh the benefits of living in New Zealand... barely ANY 335i's, only a FEW 320d's & 320i e90's, LOTS of e36 & e46's + lovely 98 octane fuel Like magic.

I live just a bit North of SF and have seen only two others in the ten months I have owned it. Amazing machine as you probably know. I am just not crazy about these new f models BMW is producing, in my opinion we got the last of the good ones. Enjoy your ride...

I watched that the other night, was cool. The part about Rolls was ridiculous as well.

LOL. The pain part...I hope not unless you mean maintenance! Then the pain comes indeed!

I did not realize that the BMW Group owned Rolls and Land Rover - before they got rid if it. Good show though. I guess if you get European delivery they roll out the suck up treatment. Glad Mercedes did not absorb BMW...what a different world it would be car-wise.

I am out towards Rancho Cucamonga. Have only seen 1 335is so far other than mine. Drove to Kansas as I used to live there. I ran back and forth between Kansas City and Wichita. KC has a really good BMW community. Saw M3s and 355i but no 335is'.

Since BMW is still pumping the "is" out I am assuming the sales are good. Car is fantastic! I wanted an M3 but went for the "is" instead. Prefer the trade off for gas mpg and horses. I opted for the overboost 370 ft/lb torque factor rather than the 295 of the M3. This car gets up and moves...stock!

In California BMWs are everywhere. Towards the center of the US - not so much. 98 Octane fuel....I wish it was that easy for find here. There are some 100 octane places around Southern Cal but they are few and usually a good drive away.

Thought 335is owners would enjoy this as well as M3 owners...as BMW is the "Ultimate Driving Obsession."
