I'm with you. Sure, drop a ton of money on the car and probably another grand on stickers. Is it just me or does any one else feel that those kinds of stickers only look good on AW?

I 100% agree. Imagine how awful(just my opinion) that striping would look an Valencia Orange. Yuck! I have seen a black e92 with striping, and although it does not look half bad, it does not look nearly as good as a white car with striping. Striping on a black car is debatable, and personally just feel is too loud for the 1M unless on Alpine White one.

Only thing that comes to mind is rice. Useless crap like stickers, mirror covers whats next: New blue matching LED bulbs? Where are the roll cages, sway bars, coilovers and the real motorsport things?
Did anyone ever did the math of how much extra a sucker can pay for wheels, steering wheel, decals etc for a fully (customized) car?

The stripes are too loud for me. So many aftermarket things for the 1M, so few cars.

Funny thing is I saw this in the online parts catalog at my local dealer 4 or 5 months ago........surprised it took this long for them to "officially" debut the stripes
Cheers, e46e92

I was thinking the same... Must be one hell of a stripe.

There hasn't been a major auto show since March/April. Frankfurt IAA will be the public debut.

These stripes seem to bring us back to the 70s. Not really my cup of tea. For the X6M 21" wheels, they look OK. But most mod companies use 22". Why don't they come out with 22"?

I thought that the M philosophy (sometime long ago) was to provide manic performance in a comfortable, mistake-it-for-the-regular-car package.
Stripes, imo, counter this philosophy and should not, under any circumstances, be applied to a BMW. |

At first I thought "OOOH, a Performance part I can add to my M3 without voiding my warranty".
And then I thought "Wonder what it is." And then I thought "Hope it's something good - like a supercharger!" Right here is where I read the article. And now I think " Weak sauce BMW. Way to ruin my evening." |

I am not a fan of the M3 stripes and highly doubt they would look remotely good on most exterior colors...
On the other hand, the X6 M is just a beast (-minus the stripes)!

Those stripes are awful. Weak showing, BMW.
