Where the hell do you live in FL? You must live out in the Boondocks somewhere.

I've been in FL for 6 years now and I've had tint on every one of my cars. 99.99% of the cars down here have "illegal" tint, including the cops.

With the amount of heat and sunshine we get, tint is more than just a cosmetic, it's a necessity.

trust me ive got tint...this happened on my benz that i just got rid of...i had 5% all around. Got pulled over, the cop said i can fix it and take it all off and only pay 10 for each ticket, OR i can keep it on there pay the 120 for each ticket...so being the stubborn asshole that i am i said screw it and paid the 240 to keep the tint on. NOT knowing that my insurance would go up for it. I fought and fought but my rep had no le way. and actually my total for the year i just looked is 2562 a yr. I got the 3800 for the difference in what my payment had gone up for the remainder of my renewl. Just messed up on some #'s

1. I'd never hand my kid a brand new anything let alone a 335.

2. $2600 per year for insurance on a single car with 2 window tint tickets doesn't add up. Either someone has a crap load more tickets in the past, they've cracked up a few cars in their day, or have had a DUI.

Man some of you guys' insurance rates are high as sh!t. I pay 606 / 6 months through Nationwide. I didn't think that tint would affect your insurance rate, but I guess it is different in every state.

Idk about in Canada, but in the US being a new teenage, male driver will make insurance more. I'm currently paying close to 10k per year with 5 points on my license and speeding tickets with more than 30 over for each.

well, to be 15 and get a new BMW ? That can only mean his parents are rich and he is probably well educated in a private institution. I drove a 10 years old camry when I was 18.

Theres no way tint tickets make your insurance go up because that is not a moving violation.

Dude, you need to shop around man... unless you have horrible credit or live in a high-risk area, you should not be paying that much.

When I was 23, under my own plan, with $500 deductible and VERY high coverage (including 2x limits for underinsured property/liability), I was paying $900-$1000 per year. Even cheaper now since I'm 24 If I didn't opt for so much coverage and extras, I would've gotten it down to $700 per year easy.

Could be that I'm insuring a 328i vs a 335i but double the price? Yikes

Damn in just a few seconds I turned an insurance thread into laying down the ground work for the invasion of Canada. I’ll call it “Operation: IcyHot aka Case White Part II: Ice Blitz ”

Your ignorance is quite revealing. Actually, I wasn't aware that Washington DC was part of Canada - nor was I was aware that I am Canadian.

BTW - you might want to check your spelling and grammar - it is truly a sad day when a foreigner (the OP) speaking a second language has better grammar and spelling than you.
